I checked 8 different local dealers. And its looking like you cant find a 2020 Gladiator under 45k right now. Who knows how many of these have ADM’s (mark ups) on them. Most in stock though range from the mid to high 50's. The most expensive one? The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! here at Huntington Beach Jeep. A Gladiator Rubicon listed for $61,275. Wait for those prices to come down if you want one or if they ever do.

ADMs?

Anyway , the right answer is to order from factory for 5% (or more) below invoice. There are dealerships scattered across the country that offer that; see this forum to find one.

Markups.

Yea that is an option. But dealers will still try to bullshit you on the price if you order from the factory. I’ve seen it happen.

My local dealer has one for $41k, no ADM:

Kinja'd!!!

What’s the basest base price on these?  Can’t be much less than $40k.

Well, sure, dealers are generally pond scum, but the ones who actively court the Jeep community by advertising that kind of discount to anyone on the forums aren’t  going to generally throw away that goodwill by bullshitting you.

My point is that waiting for on-lot prices to fall is silly compared to getting exactly what you want now, for a better deal than you’ll ever find by driving around.

Dealers try this shit with anything they think is hot. Doesn’t necessarily mean people are paying it. The Kia Stinger started like that, but was below sticker pretty quickly.

Not just Jeep. Remember when the Focus RS came out?

No ADM but still overpriced by a lot. MSRP per Jeep on the Sport S is $33,545. I would have questions as to where that other $7,585 comes from.

Sport is 33. Sport S is 36, and the S trim offers a lot more upgrades.

Link to the sticker : https://www.422jeep.com/api/inventory/GetStickers/?sv=MQBDADYASABKAFQAQQBHADgATABMADEAMQA3ADIANgA2AA%3d%3d&make=Jeep&dealerCode=61900&loc=SrpDetails

Looks like auto trans, option kit to make it livable , and an absurd destination fee.

I haven’t seen a Ranger locally for under $42k. Remember when people were saying these new entries to the mid-size truck segment would lower prices? HAHAHA

I wish more people would take heed of this point. But being the first to have something usually outweighs peoples rationality. So there are sadly more people that are willing to overpay now than save some money and get what they want later just to say that they had it first.

Oh yea my bad I saw the pricing. But I would still have to see that window sticker though .

That is, regrettably, the standard destination fee no matter where it’s going.

It has the poser package. I’ m not understanding that $1500 destination fee though.

Its funny you mention that. Car & Driver did a review they posted on Monday where they reviewed a Ranger XL 4X2 and stated that it was the cheapest way you could get into a Ranger. I thought to myself while reading it yea right. Good luck finding that configuration on any lot.

Sure, but Jeep owners literally have a saying about other people not getting their obsession.

The dealer I do marketing work for on the side has had 5 so far. Cheapest and only one that sold so far was 43k. Next cheapest is 45.

No Adm’s because they’re not selling that fast. We’re already discounting our Overland models over 3 grand. Sport model lease is still strong this month.

Damn maybe they weren’t or aren’t going to be as hot as expected? I kinda wondered who they would be for though or if Jeep was counting on Wrangler owners to trade up? Anyone who would want one has a Wrangler already or another truck that can do what it’s trying to do better.

Yeah I’m kinda wondering it too. I figured our first Rubicon model would sell quickly just like the Wranglers did, but maybe they’re just too expensive. Time will tell but I think you’re right, people are already fine with their Wrangler or other mid-size/full-size trucks make more sense. I believe the lower end and trims that lease well will be the bread & butter for the Gladiator.
